Medical Facilities

The college provides various medical facilities to its students,including a doctor (DR. )who visits twice a week( Tue Fri) and a nurse available on campus every day from 8:30 am to 5 pm. All students undergo a compulsory medical check-up at least once a year,and the college keeps a record of it. In case of any medical emergency,students can visit the medical room and receive a free consultation. This facility is ideal for regular health check-ups and treating common medical issues like cough and cold,indigestion,minor cuts,bruises,aches,pains,sports injuries and mild fever,et cetera. The medical room stocks emergency medicines for allergies,pain,fever,asthma,and other common ailments. It has a medical bed and a patient attendant bed. Necessary pieces of equipment available in the medical room include a Blood Pressure Machine,Glucometer,Nebulizer,Oxygen Cylinder,Glucose drip,etc. A wheel Chair,stretcher and transport are also readily available in the medical unit.

The college has a Health and Hygiene Committee that engages in regular discussions with students to promote personal and public hygiene. To ensure menstrual hygiene,a vending machine for sanitary pads has been installed in the college. The committee also conducts seminars to raise awareness about medical conditions like Cancer,Diabetes and PCOD,and viral and seasonal diseases. The college prioritizes mental health as much as it prioritises physical health. A medical counsellor is available to attend to students facing mental health issues such as stress,anxiety,etc.
