  • UNICEF (Odisha). Research Assistant. March 2010 to May 2011. This was my first in the tribal hinterland of Southern Odisha. It was for capacity building of key stakeholders, namely, community volunteers, selected community reporters, local NGOs for design, management and operation of a community radio station. It Covers about 50 villages in Koraput District. My responsibility was to prepare plans and process documentation based on the needs assessment of villagers. I conducted village level meetings and made presentations where their preferred folk programmes were articulated. • World Bank, New Delhi. Research Assistant. July-2013 - Dec 2013. The World Bank in engineering education in India (TEQIP II and III) was under preparation when I got this assignment., A large part of this project focused on low income states in India, namely, Rajasthan, Bihar, UP, Odisha, MP, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. Previous findings of the project revealed that a much smaller percent of SC / ST students entered engineering education, compared to their population size and, when they did join, they often dropped out relatively quickly. The project wanted to understand this better, beginning with how aspirations were formed in these categories of students, what they went through to meet these
aspirations and what they did when they did not manage. I documented these aspects so that it would be helpful to design and target the project in upcoming phases.

I was in-charge of managing the whole network of 30 researchers across India and also engaging them in how to identify the nature of conflict and report on websites. My work
also involved collaboration with a Delhi based core team for sharing informed and nuanced stories on land rights in India.
