ABOUT EXCELSIOR: THE COMMERCE SOCIETY
The Department always endeavors for the overall development of students which includes honing their leadership as well as management skills. In order to equip students to deal with the current dynamic environment, the department provides them a good platform in the form of EXCELSIOR - The Commerce Society of Maitreyi College. Here students and teachers work together to create an environment suitable for learning and growth. Excelsior focuses on organizing a variety of curricular and co-curricular events such as seminars (related to career development, resume building, personality development etc.), educational trips (such as visit to BSE Institute Ltd., trip to Yakult factory etc.), orientation, farewell, etc.
Market Rajneeti is the annual event that provides a platform to students from all over India to showcase their Marketing skills and enhance their knowledge of the corporate world.
Its marquee event COMFESCO, the annual commerce fest, is a manifestation of the dynamic and committed spirit of our students. It provides an intellectually stimulating and exciting atmosphere to the participants through various activities and competitions such as mock stock event, business plan presentations, IPL auction event, commerce qawwali, brand hunt, etc. Informative Live Sessions and webinars are conducted regularly in collaboration with renowned people and institutions that provide necessary guidance and facilitate students to develop their personality. The students activities of the department are showcased through an annual newsletter “ComAspire.
