Activities Organized by the Department

The department welcomes its first year with an Orientation Programme.
The department organizes its annual festival-“Ekonomiska” in the even semester.
The department also organizes farewell for the outgoing batch in the month of April.
The department organizes various academic and co-curricular events such as seminars, webinars, lectures by renowned academics and professionals, panel discussions, movie screening etc. to give real life exposure to the students.
The department publishes its annual magazine called ‘NEETI’.
The department also indulges in participating in Summer Internship Programs (SIPs).
The department organizes student’s educational/field trips to collect data and follow it up with statistical and econometric tools and analysis.
Softwares like Excel, R and GRETL are taught to students for hands-on training and capacity building.
To motivate young minds for innovative research, the department organizes frequent interactive sessions for students inviting renowed speakers from prestigious Indian and foreign institutions like DSE, JNU, ISI, LSE, etc,.
To remain connected with ex-students, the department organizes Economic Alumnae Speaker Series by inviting its alumnus to interact with current students and give them some real world insights.
