DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE

Objective: The department seeks to provide opportunities to each student an opportunity to define and explore questions about politics and government. Apart from familiarizing students with contemporary academic debates, the department since its inception has emerged as a training ground for in-depth research and reference work. Education and teaching are facilitated by the resources of the department and the University. The Department has been trying to open up interactive platforms for students to develop a long-term vision for their progress and development.                      

Activities throughout the Year and Annual Fest:

• Esteemed personalities in the field of Political science are invited to deliver lectures.
• Frequent tris to fields are organized to link practical life experiences with theoretical knowledge.
• Regular Screening of the movies, Orientation Day programme
• Farewell parties for faculty members and third-year batch
• The Annual Political Science Festival VOX POPULI-2020
• Elections are conducted each year for the post of President, Vice president, General Secretary and Treasurer to be chosen amongst the students for the smooth and fair functioning of departmental activities.
