Dr. Pardeep Rai is working as Librarian at Maitreyi College (University of Delhi), New Delhi. He has a Ph.D. in “Use of Multi-Media Resources by the LIS Distance Learners of IGNOU”. He holds M.L.I.Sc. and M.Phil. Degrees from University of Delhi. He has many publications to his credit and edited three books. He has participated and been a part of many national and International conferences. His area of specialization are Library Computerization and E-resources. He was awarded ILA Promoters award in 2009. He is life member of the Indian Library Association, IASLIC, Manlibnet, Asiala and Delhi Library association. He is one of the editors of the International conference proceedings of ILA.

He was the Managing editor of Journal of Indian Library Association and ILA newsletter from 2013 - 2019. Presently he is the Sr. Vice President of Indian Library Association and Executive committee member of Asiala(Asian Library Association). He is one of the Associate editors of “Journal of Library & information Technology”. Dr. Rai is on the Editorial Advisory Board of International Journal of Research in Library Science: an open access journal. He is also a Member of MSD-5 (Bureau of Indian Standards), Standing Committee Member of IFLA, Government Information and Official Publications Section(GIOPS), and Member of Professional Development Advisory Council, SLA.

He was invited to attend the IFLA workshop on Global vision in Vietnam from 23-25 May 2018.

She has Diploma in French language from Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana, Punjab and Certificate in Intellectual Property Rights and Information Technology in the Internet Age from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. During her career she has participated in several National and International workshops and seminars related to her profession and contribute research papers also. She is also life time member of Indian Library Association.
