The Maitreyi Alumni Association organized Sannidhy-the annual Alumni Meet to celebrate the achievements of our illustrious alumni and to welcome them back into the Maitreyi kutumb. The meaning of Sannidhy encapsulates the accomplishments of the alumni and the idea of bringing the alumni and faculty together for a warm, joyous interaction. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Arun Gemini, an acclaimed poet and Mr. Sanjay Kansal, the Chairman of the Governing Body. The Principal, Dr. Haritma Chopra gave a warm welcome to the alumni and expressed pride in their achievements. The alumni wall, a visual reminder of the stupendous achievements of the alumni was unveiled by the guests.


The following alumni who have distinguished themselves through their achievements and contribution to society were felicitated:

  1. Ms. Latika Nath, “The Tiger Princess” is the first woman wildlife biologist in India to hold a doctorate on tigers.
  2. Ms. Siva Kapoor, an independent wellness advocate is an entrepreneur based in USA who is associated with Santhigram wellness Ayurveda.
  3. Major Nupur Gupta, is a retired army officer with 25 years of experience in teaching, training and leadership development.
  4. Dr. Shailly Nigam, an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Lady Irwin College, was recipient of the prestigious personal grant from Cancer Research Foundation, Norway.
  5. Dr. Chetna Anand, a scientist in Department of Environment, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, looks at the vast domain of technical work that includes air, water and noise pollution & its control.
  6. Ms. Ranjeeta Rani is the Principal of the prestigious Mt. Litera Zee School-Agra, which is a part of India's largest school chain today.
  7. Ms. Nisha Sharma is an accomplished Media Professional with more than 9 years of expertise in the print, electronic and digital media.
  8. Ms. Medha Arya, practiced for about 3 years in Delhi High Court before clearing Delhi Judicial Services Exam in 2015. She is currently posted as Civil Judge/Metropolitan Magistrate (under training). 
  9. Ms. Priyanka Baghel, a well-trained sportsperson specializes in baseball and softball. She has won two gold medals in baseball at the university level tournaments.
  10. Ms. Neha Mittal, cleared civil services exam CSE-2017 in the PH-3 category [Hearing Impaired]. Beating all odds she was selected for IA&AS - Indian Audit and Accounts Service, which is responsible for auditing the accounts of the Union and State governments and public sector organizations.
  11. Ms. Priya Das was conferred the Star Performer award. A kathak dancer, she has enthralled the audience with her mesmerizing dance performances at several prestigious events such as World Cultural Festival organized by Art of Living and Kathak Mahotsav 2013.
